Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receives work orders and obtains the necessary tools required for the repair.

2. Transports the vehicle(s) to be repaired by driving pushing vehicle into service bay. Vehicles may consist of tugs or forklifts.

3. Inspects parts and/or motor vehicles to identify defective or broken parts.

4. Repairs diesel engines systems.

5. Obtains replacement parts required. Repairs may require rebuilding as assemblies.

6. Confers with Supervisor for complex repairs direction or approval for ordering of parts.

7. Completes work orders and provides status on any open work orders.

8. Additional duties may include changing batteries

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalency.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• Minimum of three (3) years working experience on airport equipment or automotive repair shop.

• Knowledge in repair of heavy-duty diesel/automotive equipment, electrical and hydraulic systems.

• Able to learn such duties within a reasonable amount of time.

• Must have own tools and be able to operate various power and hand tools safely.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check and security threat assessment.

Compensation
This position has a pay range of $29.96 to $35.31 plus $.50 per service area per hour (max of $2.00).
