TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico, a leader in safe and reliable service to Puerto Rico, is seeking a Account Executive to join the team at our Jacksonville, FL office.
In this position you will:
be responsible for effectively growing TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico’s volumes and revenue through targeted growth accounts and in the assigned sales territory utilizing best sales techniques and professional sales strategies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Sell Tote Maritime’s value and innovative transportation solutions in a professional manner.
- Obtain established volume and revenue levels by developing strategic sales techniques and building customer relationships.
- Work within a team-focused environment relying on a variety of resources to manage a specific territory.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop new business from targeted accounts.
- Monitor performance of current book of business and address issues proactively.
- Develop and maintain lasting relationships with customers within the assigned territory.
- Generate qualified sales leads through cold calling and pursues required activity on sales leads/quotes produced by company.
- Represents shippers’ interest with other departments, such as Equipment Control, Intermodal Dispatch, Pricing and Operations.
- Prepare sales presentations; must be comfortable with public speaking.
- Utilize the Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System Database to maintain account profiles and track all sales leads for all assigned accounts (control and service) in the sales territory.
- Maintain CRM Dynamics calendar which includes daily, weekly, and monthly appointments including post-call notes.
- Submit expense reports timely.
- Assist the company in any necessary duties to achieve company goals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Frequent travel is required, which may include occasional weekend travel.
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred
- Must have reliable transportation to be used for business purposes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Superior personal contact and negotiation skills are essential.
- Strong sense of customer satisfaction and desire for every customer interaction to be a positive one.
- Must possess excellent teamwork habits to function in a cooperative, interactive commercial group.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills a must.
- Computer skills a must, including knowledge of MS Office.
- Traditional and nontraditional sales techniques including relationship selling skills.
- Strong work ethic, flexibility, and positive attitude.
- Must have superior English language communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
