Job Summary

The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for managing and growing existing customer relationships across our fuel and lubricant product lines. AMs serve as trusted advisors to their customers, ensuring product satisfaction, discovering new needs, and driving margin growth through upselling, cross-selling, and margin management. This role is key to ensuring customer retention, profitability, and long-term value creation.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
  • Conduct regular account reviews, consultative check-ins, and occasional site visits.
  • Identify opportunities for selling additional products and services (e.g., DEF, tanks, coolant, oil analysis, tank monitoring, etc.).
  • Collaborate with operations to schedule reliable deliveries and resolve service issues.
  • Maintain and update customer information and activity in CRM.
  • Manage contract renewals, pricing information, and quote generation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and fulfillment.
  • Track account-level KPIs such as volume growth, gross margin, and churn risk.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, preferred.
  • 3-5 years in B2B sales or experience in account management, sales, or customer service, preferably in the energy or related industry.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Familiarity with the energy industry, including knowledge of fuel distribution, logistics, or related services, is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally for client visits and industry events.
