Description
This position is responsible for processing cost and schedule data on the Antarctic Research Vessel (ARV) program to calculate and analyze performance against the baseline. The EVM Coordinator will provide input into the initial development and configuration of the system and is responsible for maintaining and updating certain configuration elements of the system to include: data mapping between the EV cost engine and the schedule, data mapping and options for financial imports, rate tables, thresholds for variance reporting, program/contract data, custom fields for reporting, configuration of data exports, and other to ensure accurate and compliant data and reporting to the Government.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The role collaborates with Program Management and Program Finance to provide coordinated program support and analysis and utilizes performance and health metrics analyses to drive actions resulting in improved program performance.
- Support the establishment of an initial and final integrated Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
- Analyze cost, schedule, and risk including PMB, variance, trend, EVM and schedule health metrics
- Import schedule data (baseline, actual, forecast dates), resources (budget and forecasted hours, direct non-labor costs), and status information (percent complete) from the IMS.
- Importing, reviewing, and applying actual project costs.
- Apply direct and indirect rates to resources and verify the resulting cost calculations.
- Support the Program Management team with processing approved baseline changes.
- Performing data quality checks and resolving data errors and anomalies.
- Validating Estimates At Complete (EAC) and other critical data.
- Producing contract performance reports, including briefings, management plans, and technical reports for internal management and the customer.
- Identifying significant variances – especially those which trip reporting thresholds.
- Provide support to Control Account Managers and Program Managers to ensure understanding of the sources of performance problems.
- Validating that actual costs are not recorded for unauthorized or un-started work.
- Ensuring material performance and costs are recorded in the correct period.
- Prevent retroactive changes (except for correction of errors as allowed by company policy).
- Maintaining the monthly business calendar ensuring steps are completed on time to produce monthly performance data on schedule.
- Support annual EVMS audits by the Government.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business/economics, finance, accounting, engineering, or similar field with a minimum of three (3) years of EVM project support experience. In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, applicant must have 10 years of relevant experience in EVM analysis.
Qualification Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be eligible to possess DOD SECRET security clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with EVMS software applications, preferably forProject EVM software.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage data using Microsoft Excel or other software programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient writer of reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Understanding of shipbuilding or marine construction projects preferred.
