Delta Western was formed in 1984 to provide fuel for ships, planes, and vehicles along the Western Alaska coastline and Yukon River with a fueling station in Dutch Harbor. It was welcomed into the Saltchuk family of companies in 2000, marking Saltchuk’s entry into petroleum distribution. Today, Delta Western is one of Alaska’s leading independent distributors of petroleum products and lubricants, with fuel terminals in Western and Southeast Alaska. Delta Western delivers an average of 200 million gallons of fuel annually in Alaska and employs approximately 150 people.

Enhancing relationships with the importers of fuel into Alaska, Delta Western can source and acquire fuel into our system on an emergency notice if needed. Roles & Responsibilities
- Open and close the station in accordance with company procedures.
- Complying with the Personal Protection Equipment Policies
- Accurately count and reconcile the cash till at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain situational awareness to ensure station security.
- Dispense gasoline or diesel fuel as requested by customers.
- Process customer transactions, including cash and credit card payments, and provide change as needed.
- Promote and sell convenience store items.
- Assist with product displays, inventory management, and daily reporting.
- Maintain a clean and organized station, including wiping windows and counters, sweeping floors, dusting shelves, and restocking restrooms.
- Prepare and maintain fresh coffee for customers.
- Actively participate in safety meetings and report any injuries, spills, or property damage.
- Identify and communicate potential job hazards.
- Maintain knowledge of spill prevention and response procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least one month of relevant work experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be 21 years or older, in compliance with state regulations for cigarette sales.
