Job Summary

As the Minit Stop Marketing Specialist, you play a key role in supporting the Company’s marketing and communication efforts. This role allows the incumbent to take the lead on building the Minit Stop brand and reputation using a wide variety of different methods such as multimedia, social media and community targeted ad campaigns to generate awareness of Minit Stop and Hawaii Petroleum.

In this position, the overseeing, developing and growing of our Company loyalty program will be required as well as ensuring our online ordering platform is advertised and utilize in the right way to maximize revenue generation opportunities.

Suitability for Position

To be successful in this role, the incumbent must be an individual who is able to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve individual and common goals. This role requires someone who is able to understand the target audience of Minit Stop and work to cater to that demographic to maximize brand exposure at a continuously growing level.

A self-starting and well organized individual who is able to multitask and possesses the ability to communicate clearly is desired for this role. Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve related problems are traits of someone who would thrive in this position. The ideal candidate would be someone who understands the importance of teamwork and clear communication across the organization and beyond to our customer base.

General Requirements

· Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.

· A bachelor’s degree in a Marketing or a related field is preferred but the equivalent amount of experience (3 year minimum) would also be considered.

· Previous work experience in a marketing capacity such as a Marketing Coordinator role or equivalent is strongly encouraged.

· Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content creation and marketing and social media management/marketing are desired.

· Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to interpret performance from analytics and using creativity to expand engagement.

· Detail-oriented and proactive with ability to multitask and prioritize projects based on deadlines.

· Demonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; and Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred.

· Graphic design experience is a preferred as well as experience using social media platforms for paid advertising, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, radio, tv and gas station advertising.

· Proficiency in office-based software including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, Teams and other office-based computer systems is required.

· Strong time management and prioritization skills are required as well as the ability to think independently to make informed decisions.

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of different individuals with different positions, goals and abilities.

· The ability to troubleshoot and resolve related issues using critical thinking and logic whenever possible.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders.

· Possession of and maintaining a valid Type 3 Drivers License is a requirement of this role as well as having reliable and business appropriate transportation for work purposes.

· Have a professional level working knowledge of social media management platforms (Sprout Social is preferred)
