JOB SUMMARY    Repairs and maintains containers which includes cleaning, sweeping, fabricating and repairing all components including steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and wood.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Welds and fabricates steel.2. Welds and fabricates stainless steel.3. Welds and fabricates aluminum.4. Operates shop equipment; shears, brakes, etc.5. Straightens damaged components.6. Operates forklifts.7. Replaces and/or repairs wooden floors.8. Cleans and paints.9. Repairs mechanical components.10. Performs all other assigned duties.   MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION:    High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE:    Must be able  to pass ABS welding test.Must have 1 year of welding experience. Must have experience using fabrication equipment such as iron-works, brake presses and hydraulic sheet metal shears. Must be mechanically inclined and able to use various power tools such as saws, riveters, hydraulic rams.LICENSE:    Must be able to operate and certify on 5,000 lb. and 30,000 lb. fork lift.TRAVEL:    N/APHYSICAL:    Operations - Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer or handheld. Ability to frequently twist, bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb on equipment, push/pull 50 pounds, crawl, lift and carry at least 80 pounds on a daily basis. Able to withstand constant exposure to extreme weather conditions. Must work in a very noisy environment.Must work in a very dirty environment requiring the occasional use of respirators.Must work in hot environments while using welders and torches.
