Job Summary

The Rotational Driver and Trainer position involves providing support at various Delta Western terminals, as assigned by the Site Manager or Operations Manager. Responsibilities may include fuel delivery, dock attendance, warehouse or tank farm functions & maintenance, customer service, monthly inspections, office administration, and training and certifying new drivers and employees.

Roles and Responsibilities

    Greets customers and safely provides fuel to tanks and marine vessels.

    Prepares and delivers packaged products and lubes to customers.

    Participates in scheduled and unscheduled boom deployments.

    Completes meter sheets and invoices, ensuring timely submission to the office.

    Maintains cleanliness of dock and yard, including handling waste disposal.

    Checks hoses and equipment daily for damage.

    Assists with barge operations as needed.

    Safely delivers fuel to various customers in a timely manner.

    Completes daily invoices and submits them to the office.

    Operates and transports used oil trucks.

    Reports any unsafe delivery conditions to the Manager/Lead Driver.

    Follows DOT regulations, keeps accurate truck logs, and conducts pre-trip/post-trip inspections.

    Communicates with customers to ensure proper service and safety during deliveries.

    Follows company’s Petroleum Operations Manual procedures and maintains a safe work environment.

    Performs office administration tasks, including customer service, billing, dispatch, and reconciliations.

    Assists with bulk inventory, warehouse tasks, and ground maintenance.

    Participates in safety meetings and reports incidents or hazards.

    Maintains a neat, professional appearance with trucks, facility, and equipment.

    Trains and certifies employees on Lockout Tagout, Fall Protection, Forklift Operator and Rigging.

    Trains and certifies employees on fuel operations and delivery. 

    Adheres to Delta Western’s drug-free workplace policy.

    All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experiences

    High school diploma or GED is required.

    Two years of commercial driving experience or a combination of education and experience is preferred.

    Valid Alaska Class B CDL with X endorsement, Class A preferred.

    TWIC, Hazmat and HAZWOPER can be acquired after hire.

    Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

    Forklift Certificate can be acquired after hire.
