Delta Western was formed in 1984 to provide fuel for ships, planes, and vehicles along the Western Alaska coastline and Yukon River with a fueling station in Dutch Harbor. Today, Delta Western is to grow independent distributors of petroleum products and lubricants, with fuel terminals in Western and Southeast Alaska. Delta Western delivers an average of 200 million gallons of fuel annually in Alaska and employs approximately 150 people.

Job Summary:
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational, administrative, and marketing activities of the Bethel operation. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining equipment and facilities that foster a safe and efficient work environment. The Site Manager plays a crucial role in leading the team, meeting customer needs, managing inventory, and prioritizing our safety culture to deliver excellence.
Essential Functions:
- Lead employee engagement by providing clear expectations, the proper resources and training, and ensuring accountability.
- Responsible for managing the site P&L, including streamlining the order-to-cash process, pursuing opportunities, and efficiently managing cost.
- Track operational metrics and explore new ideas to drive continuous improvement.
- Align employee performance for success, manage work hours and associated travel expenses.
- Maintain a high level of customer service. Seek and promptly address customer feedback.
- Keep a thorough understanding of safety and operational processes. Ensure process adherence to deliver excellence and take care of our people, community, and environment.
- Comply with all regulatory and company standards by conducting regular spot checks, inspections, scheduling maintenance or repairs, and performing minor maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a demand forecast with updates and coordinate with supply operations for adequate inventory.
- Communicate proactively and effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and communicate job hazards related to safety, service quality, and environment. Promptly respond to and report incidents, in a timely manner.
- Hold frequent local safety meetings with the entire team to share lessons learned, communicate updates, demonstrate our values, and engage together.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience, preferably in the petroleum industry, or a combination of education and experience.
- Certificates/Licenses:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Forklift Certificate can be acquired after hire.
- Drug and Alcohol Training for Supervisors.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Hazmat and Hazwoper can be acquired after hire.
