Summary
Description
Responsible for tracking all of Tropical’s equipment moving both in and out of the port, keep inventory, and generate reports to be sent to regional office.
Performs all equipment control functions ensuring accurate monitoring and handling of company equipment.
Records all of Tropical’s equipment moving in and out of the port by truckers for consignees.
Removes batteries from reefers when not in use.
Locks empty chassis when not in use.
Prepares accurate monthly inventory to be sent to regional office.
Monitors unstuffing services provided by port authority workers to ensure accurate, timely and safe processing.
Generates Quarterly Reports on all LCL movements at the port.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: One to three years experience with equipment monitoring and control.
LICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s License.

PHYSICAL: Office Environment – Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve lower shelf files. Ability to reach overhead to retrieve upper shelf files. Ability to sit 1/3 – 2/3 of day. Ability to work on feet for 1/3 – 2/3 day.
