Job Summary

This position advises and coordinates the safe fuel delivery operation for the Haines Bulk Fuel Tank Farm and facility, ensuring customer needs are met in an efficient and timely manner.

Summary of all-important Job Functions

  • Monitors workload of fuel driver staff, making alterations and changing dispatches based on consumer demands and local weather conditions; identifies products and other related services that should occur at any given customer location.
  • Attending and conducting safety meetings with fuel drivers and other related department personnel to ensure the safety culture of the company is being implemented and fulfilled.
  • Provide feedback to the facility manager on how drivers are performing.
  • Ensure drivers are aware of road conditions prior to being dispatched.
  • Work with the site manager and maintenance department to ensure accurate scheduling of routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Ensure drivers and equipment meet all DOT requirements.
  • Assist with the training of employees to ensure they are meeting all regulatory and company training requirements.
  • Audit employees’ work performance to ensure regulatory and company compliance.
  • Deliver product to customers by truck or other means.
  • Assists with the day-to-day tank farm operations and maintains a Person in Charge (PIC) status for vessel and facility operations.
  • Follow all DOT regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience: High School Diploma and demonstrated ability, preferably in the petroleum industry; or a combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree and previous supervisory experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:

  • CDL with Hazmat endorsement
  • TWIC can be acquired
  • PIC within 6 months can be acquired
