Description

Essential Duties

·         Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures

·         Ensures compliance with DOT regulations, company policy, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws

·         Ensures accurate receiving, labeling, storage, preparation and reporting of customer freight

·         Manages warehouse workers providing work direction and oversight on day-to-day tasks

·         Coordinates delivery and pickup of warehouse customer’s freight and ensures proper preparations and counts prior to dispatching driver

·         Reports information within customer systems as necessary.

·         Assist with performance reviews, and disciplinary meetings and actions in coordination with Warehouse Manager and Human Resources

·         Maintain open and effective communication with other departments and managers, proactively mitigating issues and concerns

·         Field incoming calls and emails, responding appropriately and timely to internal/external customer inquiries

·         Ensures equipment and facility are well maintained and in good working order

·         Fills in for the Warehouse Manager as needed

·         Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

·         High school diploma or GED; advanced education preferred

·         Clean Background check required.

·         5 years warehousing and dock experience

·         Five years supervisory experience preferred

·         Strong problem solving skills to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

·         High level of attention to detail and accuracy

·         Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills

·         Must be self-motivated and outcome focused, with developed decision making skills

·         Strong interpersonal skills, active listening and relationship building skills

·         Working knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and working knowledge of transportation computer based systems, TMW preferred

·         Treats people with respect; keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, upholds organizational values

·         Excellent customer service skills

·         Basic math skills for load planning

·         Knowledge and experience with rigging and craning

·         Ability to prioritize work throughout the day
