CAD ENGINEER
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking CAD Engineer to join our team. Ideal candidates for this position will have the ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D and other related computer software and equipment and a basic understanding of computer hardware and software.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Incorporate data from both topographical and hydrographical surveys and geophysical reports to prepare drawings.
- Make calculations pertaining to excavation and earth-moving operations.
- Generate TIN surfaces from a variety of data sources, analyzing survey data for inconsistencies / errors, and editing surfaces to create optimal models.
- Interface with engineers / estimators to assemble project specifics to meet deadlines.
- Follow guidelines, utilize templates and follow standards to ensure each drawing’s integrity and accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute related detailed project drawings, such as plan views, cross sections and profiles along with all cut / fill calculations per project specifications.
Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE AUTOCAD CIVIL 3D EXPERIENCE.
- Experience with using ArcGIS is highly desired.
- Prefer to have completed at least a two-year associate’s degree program; however, completion of a bachelor’s degree program in a related field of study is highly desired.
- 1-3 years’ experience working in similar capacity.
- Possesses strong mathematics background, utilizing geometry, trigonometry in a similar capacity.
- Possesses strong working knowledge of the civil engineering / land surveying profession.
- Places strong emphasis on attention to details.
- Good understanding / knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D’s functionality (1-3 years of AutoCAD Civil 3D work related experience).
- Familiarity with CAD standards within the civil engineering industry.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must work well both alone and in team settings.
