Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse operations including order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, inventory control, repackaging of bulk fluids into packaged formats, housekeeping, and customer will-call support. This role requires strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work efficiently with a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Essential Functions:

Warehouse Operations

  • Pick, stage, and verify orders for delivery routes and customer pickup (will-call).
  • Accurately pull product by item/part number, quantity, and packaging type.
  • Build pallets, band/wrap loads, label product, and stage orders in designated areas.
  • Repackage bulk lubricants/greases/fluids into required package sizes (totes, drums, pails, cases) per procedure.
  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and drum handling equipment.
  • Maintain warehouse organization: shelving, product locations, staging lanes, and aisle cleanliness.
  • Perform general warehouse tasks (sweeping, cleanup, organizing, trash removal, basic data entry).

Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory

  • Receive inbound freight and verify product identity, count, and condition.
  • Put away product to assigned locations and maintain accurate location practices.
  • Prepare outbound shipments: verify order accuracy, stage for loading, and complete required paperwork.
  • Label/mark materials with identifying information to comply with company/OSHA standards.
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, periodic inventories, and discrepancy reporting.
  • Follow stock rotation practices (FIFO) and ensure proper storage and segregation practices.

Fluids Handling and Specialty Work

  • Operate fluid transfer pumps and related equipment safely (when assigned).
  • Support antifreeze/WWF mixing and testing per company procedures (when assigned).
  • Monitor cleanliness and condition of pumps, hoses, fittings, meters, and related transfer equipment.

Customer Support

  • Assist customers at the counter/warehouse with will-call orders.
  • Confirm order accuracy before release and handle product professionally to prevent damage.
  • Communicate issues promptly (shortages, substitutions, damaged goods) to leadership.

Safety, Compliance, and Communication 

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures; wear required PPE at all times.
  • Participate in safety meetings and immediately report injuries, spills, near-misses, and hazards.
  • Maintain a safe work area and correct/flag unsafe conditions.
  • Comply with company procedures and applicable regulations (DOT/HazMat only when duties require).

Delivery Support 

  • Support deliveries when needed for coverage or peak demand.
  • Assist with loading/unloading trucks and securing loads.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork for any assigned delivery or transfer activity.
  • Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and DOT logs only when operating a vehicle that requires it.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent for warehouse-related duties.
  • Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
    • Hazwoper can be acquired after hire.
    • Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
    • Driver’s License
    • Able to complete Forklift Training within the first week for certain roles.
    • Forklift Certificate can be acquired after hire.
    • Port Proxy Card, Physical Card, and other certifications as applicable.
