Pressure washes and/or sweeps out shipping containers and equipment, treats rusted areas and/or disinfects inside of containers as needed. Cleans and maintains shop, washout, and reefer pre-trip inspection (PTI) areas, including trash removal as needed.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesPressure washes shipping containers and equipment as required using machinery provided.  Checks equipment, ensuring an adequate water supply and all working properly.  Inspects surfaces after washing to ensure it is clear of any food, dirt, and debris.  Follows all safety protocols to prevent damage or injury.  Treats rusted areas on equipment and applies aluminum cleaner.  Cleans and washes equipment daily.  Cleans all PTI wash areas once a week.  Cleans and maintains the shop and surrounding areas.  Performs all other assigned duties.  Education (Minimum)High School Diploma or equivalentExperience (custom)Six months experience in cleaning and painting. Pressure washing experience preferred.LicenseValid local driver’s license. Certified to operate fork-lift preferred or the ability to obtain fork-lift operator certification.Travel PhysicalOperations – Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer or handheld devices. Ability to frequently twist, bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb on equipment, push/pull 50 pounds, crawl, lift and carry at least 80 pounds on a daily basis. JOB SUMMARYREFRIGERATION MAINTENANCE: Performs maintenance, repair and replacement of load line cords, ends and switches. Monitors loaded refrigeration units for proper operation. Pre-trips refrigerated units and ensures proper maintenance standards prior to container use by customer. Responsible for performing fueling duties and assisting in yard operations, including equipment moves and washing of refrigerated units as needed. Fuels and/or checks all fluids of equipment. Assists with identifying defects of equipment, reports back to leads or manager and maintains a clean work area. PORT MAINTENANCE:  Assists in various shop functions, including but not limited to, fuel and/or fluid checks, power washing of heavy equipment, identifies defects of heavy equipment, reports back to leads or manager, and maintains a clean working area. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: No previous experience required. Experience operating and/or fueling equipment preferred.LICENSE: Valid local driver’s license. Ability to obtain CDL-Class B with Tanker & Hazmat endorsement.TRAVEL: N/A
