JOB SUMMARY Coordinate activities of warehouse employees.  Assume responsibility of supervisor in supervisor’s absence and handle freight as needed.  Work with Documentation and Booking departments to resolve problems and to maintain cut-off times.JOB SCOPENo supervisory or budgetary responsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOrganize and coordinate the receiving, warehousing and loading of cargo according to established guidelines. Coordinate the loading and/or transfer of freight to and from other Tropical receive locations as necessary.Notify Cargo Loss Prevention of damages and improperly packed cargo.Ensure the warehouse and assigned equipment are kept clean and properly maintained, including scheduling of loads for fork-lifts.Provide available cargo information to traffic and sales departments as requested.Inform supervisor of manpower shortages, and warehouse problems.Generate container manifests for all Less than Container Load and distribute to appropriate departments.Perform all other duties as assigned.MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: One year experience in warehouse operations.LICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s License.TRAVEL: N/A

JOB SUMMARY Receives, tallies, loads and unloads cargo.  Maintains a professional attitude and relationship with customers, common carriers, Customs and other regulatory agencies.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.  Strips and stows inbound freight , receives and loads outbound freight with forklift or by hand where necessary.  Completes tallies and labels cargo.2.  Coordinates the staging and movement of cargo to warehouse or storage areas.3.  Makes cargo available for Customs and other regulatory agency  inspections.4.  Makes cargo available for pick up or delivery to consignees and common carriers.5.  Maintains neatness and cleanliness throughout warehouse and dock area.6.  Coordinates transloading of cargo at other receiving areas, when necessary.7.  Coordinates movement and positioning of containers with Jockey Drivers.8.  Performs preventative maintenance on fork-lift.9.  Performs all other assigned duties.EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: Six months in warehouse or shipping operations.LICENSE: Valid Local Drivers LicenseTRAVEL: N/A.
