JOB SUMMARY Responsible for providing support to Sales Representatives as needed through correspondence, rate quotes and service announcements to customers within the assigned sales territory. Acts as liaison between customers and various departments within Tropical to resolve sales related issues in an effort to assist the Sales Representative in maximizing customer satisfaction as well as enhancing the customer’s supply chain effectiveness with convenient and reliable transportation solutions. Within TLink, assigns new customers to a sales territory. Cargo Inspector- Barbados

JOB SUMMARY Receives, tallies, loads and unloads cargo.  Maintains a professional attitude and relationship with customers, common carriers, Customs and other regulatory agencies.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.  Strips and stows inbound freight , receives and loads outbound freight with forklift or by hand where necessary.  Completes tallies and labels cargo.2.  Coordinates the staging and movement of cargo to warehouse or storage areas.3.  Makes cargo available for Customs and other regulatory agency  inspections.4.  Makes cargo available for pick up or delivery to consignees and common carriers.5.  Maintains neatness and cleanliness throughout warehouse and dock area.6.  Coordinates transloading of cargo at other receiving areas, when necessary.7.  Coordinates movement and positioning of containers with Jockey Drivers.8.  Performs preventative maintenance on fork-lift.9.  Performs all other assigned duties.EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: Six months in warehouse or shipping operations.LICENSE: Valid Local Drivers LicenseTRAVEL: N/A.

Operations Coordinator – Barbados

Responsible for tracking all of Tropical’s equipment moving both  in and out of the port, keep inventory, and generate reports to be sent to regional office.Performs all equipment control functions ensuring accurate monitoring and handling of company equipment.Records all of Tropical’s equipment moving in and out of the port by truckers for consignees.Removes batteries from reefers when not in use.Locks empty chassis when not in use.Prepares accurate monthly inventory to be sent to regional office.Monitors unstuffing services provided by port authority workers to ensure accurate, timely and safe processing.Generates Quarterly Reports on all LCL movements at the port.Performs all other duties as assigned.EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: One to three years experience with equipment monitoring and control.LICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s License.TRAVEL: N/APHYSICAL: Office Environment – Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer.  Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve lower shelf files.  Ability to reach overhead to retrieve upper shelf files.  Ability to sit 1/3 – 2/3 of day.  Ability to work on feet for 1/3 – 2/3 day.LANGUAGE: English
