Customer Service Representative (St. Thomas)

JOB SUMMARY Acts as a liaison between sales representative and customers.  Quotes rates, assists with bookings, follows-up on customer complaints, traces cargo, initiates FCNs, releases documents on southbound/inter-island shipments and responds in a timely manner to customer inquires.  Researches, follows up and maintains current customer accounts. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE: Three years experience in a related field required with experience in Sales, Customer Service or Traffic. LICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s License. TRAVEL: N/A PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Receives and answers incoming customer service related phone calls. Quotes rates from all tariffs and researches customer’s problems.2. Masters and utilizes the appropriate company business systems in all its capabilities, i.e.: inquiry, account profile, customer maintenance, vessel schedule, equipment, FCN process, loadlist, miscellaneous invoices, etc.3. Assists walk-in customers with rates, claims, CLP, and freight. Logs incoming claims and advises claimant of claims procedures4. Advises supervisor of recurring problems and makes appropriate suggestions.5. Maintains daily log of all calls regarding problems, requests, inquiries.6. Coordinates with other departments to ensure expeditious handling of customer requests.7. Requests FCN’s, logs and submits for signature/completion.8. Logs incoming claims and advises claimant of claims procedures.9. Assists other outports seeking tariff rates for cargo origination to or from the port of neighboring islands.10. Seeks rates from various departments (i.e., Intermodal, Interline, etc.) as applicable.11. Submits TCA’s recommending pricing adjustments.12. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Coordinator (St. Thomas)

JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the daily warehouse functions:  preparing printed reports and updating T-Link system for inbound freight, receiving process, manifesting of outbound freight, customer notification of cargo in the warehouse, and the customer cargo release process.EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: One year of experience in related field. Computer experience requiredLICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s LicenseTRAVEL: N/A PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Remove cargo from inventory once delivered to customer and scan proof of delivery into T-Link.2. Update and scan US Customs clearance documents into T-Link.3. Print cargo release document from T-Link for shipments paid and cleared for delivery.4. Print out turn report for all inbound freight in T-Link pending arrival.5. Update T-Link system with cargo location upon completion of stripping and update equipment activity.6. Prepare weekly cargo notification to customers for cargo in the warehouse.7. Receive cargo/vehicle and create new booking in T-Link for Northbound freight.8. Prepare loading manifest for outbound freight and prepare manifest in T-Link.9. Respond to all emails in a timely manner and customer inquiries regarding the shipping process.10. Notify Cargo Loss Prevention of damages, missing or misrouted cargo, and create Service IncidentReports (SIRS).11. Reconcile the weekly inventory with T-Link for cargo in the warehouse.12. Inform supervisor of warehouse issues and manpower shortages.13. Purge warehouse file every six months.14. Performs all other related duties as requested.

OB SUMMARY Check, stores and loads out trailer-load freight.  Deliver customer cargo.  Clean warehouse. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE: N/A LICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s License. TRAVEL: N/APrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:Counts, cubes, places on pallets and stores freight. Records on checkers tally.• Notes on tally when hazardous materials are received.• Tags freight according to marks/ports.• Operates fork-lift to load and unload freight.• Loads containers with cleared freight, making sure no additional discrepancies exist.• Performs preventative maintenance on fork-lift.• Checks and cleans equipment and warehouse/work area.• Deliver customer cargo.• Prepare trailer manifest for outbound cars.• Performs all other duties as requested.
