B. JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the supervision and management of hourly employees engaged in the trafficking and exporting of cargo to destinations.  Ensures all legal compliance is maintained while ensuring that cargo flows in accordance with customers requirements.C. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a supervisor, is responsible and accountable for the hiring, coaching, and discipline of all employees within his/her span of control.Monitors workflow and ensures sufficient resources exist.  Reviews processes and organization to meet demands of the business.  Develops procedures to assist employees in day to day process execution.  Approves process exceptions within limits of authority.Measures productivity and accuracy to ensure employee performance is meeting standard.  Coaches employees who do not meet standard and takes necessary steps under progressive discipline to ensure employees maintain high levels of performance.Researches and approves FCNs as required, ensuring that company standards are maintained.Troubleshoots problems with freight movements.  Resolves service issues as they occur.Trains employees in shipping practices and department and company policies and procedures.Ensures vessel manifests are complete and bills are complete to facilitate vessel operations and release of cargo at destination.Functions as system super-user to make system changes when issues occur.  Escalates non-resolvable issues to IS.Interfaces with ports to assist as necessary in system issues, or other service issues.Performs all other assigned duties. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or in a related fieldEXPERIENCE: Three to five years of experience in export documentation or a related field with experience in decision making and supervising.LICENSE: Valid State of Florida Driver's License and Valid Passport.TRAVEL: NonePHYSICAL: Office Environment - Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer.  Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve lower shelf files.  Ability to reach overhead to retrieve upper shelf files.  Ability to sit 1/3 - 2/3 of day.  Ability to work on feet for 1/3 - 2/3 day.LANGUAGE: English
