Inlet Petroleum Company was founded in 1986, originally as a Chevron distributor. Today, it is the only Chevron 1st Source Elite marketer in the state. With over 40 employees housed in a newly constructed building on Ship Avenue in Anchorage, Inlet Energy is equipped with over 40,000 square feet of warehouse storage, a state-of-the-art 100,000-gallon bulk tank farm, and its own fleet of bulk fuel and lubricant trucks.
Inlet Energy provides exceptional customer service to retail, commercial, and government customers in Alaska. Inlet’s team of professionals has the most Certified Lubrication Specialists (CLS), Oil Monitoring Analysts (OMA-1), and Machine Lubricant Analysts (MLA) in the state. Inlet Energy is based out of Anchorage with operations in Kenai, Fairbanks, and Prudhoe Bay. The inlet is also a major fuel distributor for the road system from the Kenai Peninsula to Fairbanks.
Job Summary:
The Senior Operations Manager, Lubricants leads lubricant operations across three warehouse locations, ensuring excellence in warehouse management, logistics, and technical support. This role is responsible for managing the Profit & Loss (P&L) for all lubricant-related functions. Roles and Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations
- Lead daily operations of three lubricant warehouses with a focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Oversee supervisors responsible for delivery truck scheduling, routing, and compliance.
- Promote a culture of accountability and care among warehouse and delivery staff.
Logistics & Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory levels, product ordering, and stock rotation.
- Oversee coordination of transportation logistics from suppliers to warehouses and customers.
- Manage Anchorage warehouse as a distribution hub for Fairbanks and Prudhoe Bay.
- Continuously seek process improvements to challenge the status quo and enhance service delivery.
- Technical Support & RCM Oversight
- Supervise the RCM Engineer/Technical Sales Engineer.
- Support customer projects including product conversions and maintenance planning.
- Provide product knowledge, training, and technical expertise to customers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations to deliver excellence in customer solutions.
Financial Management
- Manage the P&L for all lubricant operations, including warehouse, logistics, and technical support functions.
- Monitor budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for financial improvement.
- Work with leadership to align financial performance with strategic goals.
General Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with the General Manager and other departments to support strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Travel to warehouse locations and customer sites as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong understanding of HAZMAT handling, and lubricant products, preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- TWIC, Hazmat and Hazwoper can be acquired after hire as needed
