Container/Chassis MaintenancePerforms tire related service for OTR (and smaller) tires in a shop environment and field environment according to theequipment manufactures recommendations, Tire Industry Association (TIA) recommended procedures while adhering toOSHA regulations. Mounts, demounts, balances and repairs OTR and other tires and wheels as directed. Techs must beable to work alone assessing each job for safety considerations and taking all necessary precautions.Auto MaintenancePerforms preventative maintenance on support and motorized shore equipment as well as troubleshooting and repairs tosame.Refrigeration MaintenancePerforms preventative maintenance on all engines / generators as well as troubleshooting and repairs to same.
JOB SUMMARY Inspect and accurately update status in TLink for all equipment entering and exiting the port. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAccurately update TLink screen by inputting the following information: container or chassis, booking , status, and seal number, reefer temperature, DCM, OOG/1posth, weight, trucker and condition. Initiate follow up procedures in handling discrepancies found in any of the above listed functions.Thoroughly inspect container and/or chassis condition to ensure cleanliness and that they are damage free and to accurately update system indicating any damages found. Inspect shipper owned containers to ensure they are structurally safe to be shipped and verify validity of CSC plate and or ACEP sticker.Ensure Hazardous Materials documents (DCM) matches placards on containers and meets regulatory requirements and notify appropriate personnel if hazardous incompatibility exists.Accurately update TLink, from shipper’s DCM received from truckers, with all pertinent information required to complete DCM for vessels.Check/Verify if bonds are validated for export of cargo.Check to ensure loads on flat racks are properly secured as per “Flat Rack Securing Guidelines”.Check and validate reefer set/read temperature against booked temperature and notify Reefer Dept,/Reefer Tech of any discrepancies found.Inspection all containers and trailers at exit per Security Department requirements.Assist in initial receiving of LCL delivery drivers as needed.Performs all other duties as assigned.MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: Six months general clerical experience.LICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s License.TRAVEL: N/APHYSICAL: Operations – Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer or handheld.
