JOB SUMMARYPerforms preventative maintenance on support and freight moving equipment as well as repairs to same.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Performs preventative maintenance on all 1. Fleet Equipment.2. Performs major and minor repairs to Fleet Equipment as needed.3. Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures on equipment as required.4. Researches parts needed for repairs on equipment by using parts manuals and supply books.5. Rebuilds engines, transmissions and their components as necessary.6. Makes service calls to various Tropical departments both domestic and international to facilitateequipment repairs as required.7. Remains on standby duty whenever a ship is being loaded after hours and on weekends. Fuelsequipment in the absence of the Fueler.8. Fills out work orders after every job. Orders parts required to conduct repair and maintenance andfollow-up. Coordinates with the effected departments equipment repairs and services.9. Makes quality fabrications as needed.10. Certificates in Hydraulics,pneumatics, electrical and mechanical.TRAVEL: 10% Travel to both domestic and international Tropical locations.PHYSICAL: Operations – Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks oncomputer or handheld. Ability to frequently twist, bend, reach, squat,kneel, climb on equipment, push/pull 50 pounds, crawl, lift and carry atleast 80 pounds on a daily basis. Able to withstand constant exposure toextreme weather conditions. Ability to travel in various modes oftransportation (e.g. automobile, airplane, train etc.) Occasionallyexposed to outside elements during the course of traveling.LANGUAGE: English(Education and experience minimums can be substituted with any equivalent combination of trainingand experience)
