JOB SUMMARYChecks in and loads out trailer loads, Flatbeds, Rail Equipment,Autos, Large machinery, Construction Vehicles, Boats, Lumber, Building Materials and ISO Tanks. Maintains a professional attitude and relationship with customers, common carriers, U.S. Customs, and U.S.D.A. Receives, tallies, and loads out cargo. Receives and stows inbound freight with forklift. Completes tallies and labels cargo.2. Ensures preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment.3. Makes cargo available for U.S. Customs and U.S.D.A. inspections.4. Makes cargo available for pick up by consignees and common carriers.5. Maintains neatness and cleanliness throughout warehouse and dock area.6. Directs the work of temporary personnel, when necessary.7. Coordinates transloading of cargo at other receiving areas, when necessary.8. Coordinates movement and positioning of containers with Jockey Pool.9. Performs all other duties as requested.

Notifies supervisor / crew leader for problem resolution when cargo does not meet Tropical requirements. Measures and documents the shipment’s size, type and characteristics along with complete written record of any discrepancies. Applies proper Tropical labels according to cargo marks and paperwork and enters correct data in the warehouse management system, preparing cargo for putaway. Operates a forklift as part of the receiving, stripping, or putaway processes. Puts away cargo in the proper location and documents that transaction properly in the warehouse management system.JOB SCOPENo supervisory or budgetary responsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInspects cargo to ensure that cargo meets the Tropical receiving guidelines for acceptance.Receives cargo by :a. Verifying and documenting the count.b. Ensuring that cargo matches description on the carrier’s freight billc. Verifying and documenting cargo condition.d. Properly noting exceptions (discrepancies) on the delivery agent’s paperwork.e. Checks for proper hazardous material documents.f. Signs the delivery receipt, and accepts cargo in accordance with the receiving process.Measures cargo and enters information into the warehouse management system or on hand tally.Properly, accurately, and legibly, records all other required information on tally or in warehouse management system.Prepares cargo for putaway by verifying paperwork, and placing cargo on pallets. JOB SUMMARYOperates longer combination vehicle (LCV) doubles combination trailers on DOT approved highways from Miami LCL warehouse in Medley Florida to Port of Palm Beach.EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: Five years verifiable experience driving over-the-road equipment, and two years verifiable experience working LTL freight.LICENSE: ICC and DOT certification and DOT physical. Valid Local Driver’s License. Class A, CDL with HAZMAT and tanker endorsements.TRAVEL: 100% Travel to local Tropical locations.Ability to climb in and out of truck and drive for extended periods of time.
