About the Role
Our custodians serve as a key contributor to the overall cleanliness and appearance of our Sunset Mart Stores. As a frontline support role, the custodian helps create a welcoming environment by maintaining clean, safe and orderly facilities. This role also plays an important role in contributing to an excellent customer service experience. Please note: the associate is required to come equipped with the desired work attire. If it is required work attire, the company will supply (e.g. goggles, shovels, safety vests, etc.). This is a full-time position working days.
What You’ll Do
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of the pump nozzles and pads.
- Empty trash receptacles and collect litter across the entire property.
- Clean floors and restrooms to maintain a sanitary and welcoming environment.
- Maintain landscape areas including mowing and pulling weeds.
- Replace stock and maintain window washing equipment daily.
- Promote company sponsored incentives, promotions and Reward Programs.
- Assist with coverage in the store as needed.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Skills & Experience
- Seeking candidates 18 years of age or older.
- Driver’s license required.
- Previous experience working with petroleum products is preferred.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds to a height of at least 4 feet with or without reasonable accommodation and bend, stretch, reach, and stand for prolonged periods of time throughout the day.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm for acquiring new skills, have effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow Company Policies and directions.
- Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record including being available for shifts throughout the store operating hours.
