Create, monitor, and respond to open cases in FMC during pre-shift preparation and throughout shift (and cases that impact following shift). Escalate any cases impacting current shift and next shift to Duty Manager (DM). Create. Truck Activity log. Conduct Pre-Shift Yard Audit: Verify present loads have been checked in and match YMS status/dock door assignments.
Description
The Admin Lead is responsible for overseeing the administrative operations within the warehouse to ensure efficient workflow, compliance with company policies, and optimal support for warehouse activities. This role involves supervising administrative staff, coordinating documentation, and maintaining accurate records for inventory, shipments, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Oversight: Assist Admin Supervisor with daily administrative functions, including data entry, recordkeeping, and document management.
- Inventory Management: Ensure accurate tracking of inventory, reconcile discrepancies, and coordinate with the warehouse team to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Shipping and Receiving: Monitor documentation for incoming and outgoing cargo, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company, regulatory, and FAA standards.
- Team Leadership: Assist with managing and training administrative staff, delegate tasks effectively, and provide support to enhance team performance.
- System Management: Maintain and update warehouse management systems (WMS) and other related software, ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards within the warehouse.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports related to inventory, cargo, and warehouse efficiency. Provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between warehouse supervisor and our customer to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a warehouse or administrative lead role, preferably in a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other administrative tools (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in lean warehouse operations or process improvement initiatives.
- Certification in logistics, supply chain, or related fields is a plus.
