Job Summary:

The Trucking Supervisor manages their assigned station’s operations, safety, and compliance for Naniq’s trucking operation. This role is primarily managerial. Driving is required only during critical staffing shortages, provided management duties are covered by an Administrator, Lead, or Regional Manager (RM). The Trucking Supervisor serves as the Person In Charge for trucking at their assigned station.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling & Staffing
    • Create and manage weekly driver schedules.
    • Handle driver hiring, onboarding, and training.
    • Approve daily timesheets and manage time-off requests.
  • Performance & Compliance
    • Manage driver performance and disciplinary actions.
    • Conduct annual performance reviews.
    • Ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance and real-time monitoring.
    • Oversee safety meetings and practices.
  • Operations & Assets
    • Assign and manage trucks and loads.
    • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and inspections.
    • Handle device management (Relay phones, Samsara).
    • Conduct daily operational meetings.
    • Manage documentation and incident reporting.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience in logistics operations
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license & DOT Medical Card
  • Two years of driving & management experience
  • Must be reliable and flexible with schedule
  • Must pass a background check and drug and alcohol screening
  • Able to work independently, through frequent sitting and standing, and lift up to 75lbs
  • Must have a customer service oriented, friendly, helpful, and professional disposition
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced and always changing environment
  • Must have the ability to manage people effectively
  • Excellent organization, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills required.
  • Able to speak conversational English
  • Self-motivated, able to multi-task and work effectively under a minimum level of supervision in a fast-paced environment, strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a consistent capability of working cooperatively with others in a team environment
  • Legal status to work in the USA

Physical Requirements:

Frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time, stepping in and out of tractor cabs, hand-eye coordination, and good vision. Occasionally exposed to bright or dim lighting conditions, whole-body vibration when driving the truck.
