Vice President, Finance

The Vice President Finance position is accountable for the management and oversight of the purchasing, payment and accounting lifecycle processes within the Company, including information systems, software implementation and financial reporting and risk management operations to include the development of a financial and control environment strategy, systems to implement and metrics to measure the effectiveness of those strategies, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and to report accurate financial results.  Reports directly to the CEO.

This pivotal role envisions that you will:

  • Serve as a change agent to define and implement modernization of our purchasing and accounting processes and our enterprise business applications. Key reports will be Directors of IT, finance and purchasing departments. You will lead these teams in an ERP transformation initiative and manage development and application of new and existing technical business solutions.
  • Serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team contributing to foster strong business relationships and critical partnerships across the organization to conceptualize and implement innovative business solutions
  • Build and mentor high-performance purchasing, IT, finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead efforts in financial forecasting, planning, and analysis.
  • Implement systems and processes to ensure robust controls throughout the purchasing, payment and accounting lifecycle utilizing data analytics to enhance operational efficiencies and to challenge existing processes.
  • Ensure adherence to US GAAP standards to maintain rigorous financial discipline and integrity across all financial operations
  • Foster innovation by leveraging emerging technologies to optimize processes, gain efficiencies and reduce cost
  • Ensure a high level of system and application performance, quality, and security in production environments, following SOX general computer controls and company policies
  • Ensure new software integrations across company platforms meet functional, technical and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of a comprehensive technology strategy that supports the goals and objectives of the company. 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
  • Information Systems degree or IT certifications preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.
  • Experience in partnering with an executive team.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of all levels of the finance organizations and systems including accounts receivable, accounts payable, GL, balance sheet, P&L, finance & controlling, cash management, treasury, assets retirements & obligations, fixed assets, projects, overheads, settlements, and assessments
  • Innovative and critical thinking, adaptability in problem-solving, and the ability to provide actionable outcomes.
  • Strong presentation skills suitable for all levels of the organization.
  • Strong background in technology, system integration, data architecture, application development, analytics, business intelligence and agile methods. Ability to map business processes to technology solutions
