JOB SUMMARY Responsible for repairs and maintenance functions for automotive equipment in Riviera Beach and Miami.  Manages the daily activities of mechanics and coordinates activities with operational and other maintenance managers. Implements and manages maintenance policies and procedures. Assists in the purchase of new equipment. Develops, administers, and monitors departmental goals and objectives.JOB SCOPEDirect responsibility for Riviera Beach and Miami automotive maintenance personnel, equipment and resources. Prepares and administers capital and operating equipment budgets for both locations.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinates timely, efficient and cost effective equipment maintenance, repairs or refurbishment.  Provides support and input to maintain uptime, safety and compliance to standards.Travels to Florida locations to conduct on-site equipment evaluation, safe-operating practices, the consistent application of repair and maintenance procedures, and maintenance reporting.  Implements new and ensures the use of maintenance procedures.Communicates with other departmental managers regarding equipment repairs, maintenance, environmental and safety concerns, cost control, uptime, service failures and other issues with equipment.  Provides advice and collaborates on equipment acquisitions and repositioning, labor and resources to improve cost and operational efficiency.Evaluates labor needs, workload, productivity, repair and maintenance requirements against developed cost and flat rates.  Suggests action plan to other departmental managers.  Coordinates with internal or external resources to implement agreed upon course of action and monitor progress.Receives, plans, coordinates, and manages all in-house fabrication needs.  Communicates with external vendors to ensure cost effectiveness of either services or fabrication needs. Prepares two operating budgets and assists in capital budget annually.  Performs follow-up on capital projects and operating expenses.  Reviews financial reports for accuracy.Ensures sufficient availability of spare parts and supply flow.  Ensures maintenance and repairs are performed in facilities allowing for safety and security of personnel and property.Negotiates service contracts with service providers.  Ensures compliance with Tropical's ethics policy and standards.  Reviews outstanding activities and expenses in collaboration with other departmental managers.Utilizes the maintenance management system to ensure areas of responsibility are capturing all parts used and all labor hours performed for each asset maintained.Monitors shop key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial responsibility report results monthly. Stays abreast of industry, safety and environmental regulations that affect or govern equipment operation and maintenance.Evaluates training needs and coordinates same for maintenance employees.Performs all other related duties as requested.MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: Associates or Trade/Technical Degree in either Automotive and Heavy Duty Truck Maintenance and RepairEXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years in the heavy equipment maintenance and management fieldLICENSE: Valid drivers license and valid passportTRAVEL: 20% travel to Tropical locations

JOB SCOPE
Direct responsibility for Riviera Beach and Miami automotive maintenance personnel, equipment and resources. Prepares and administers capital and operating equipment budgets for both locations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates timely, efficient and cost effective equipment maintenance, repairs or refurbishment.  Provides support and input to maintain uptime, safety and compliance to standards.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Associates or Trade/Technical Degree in either Automotive and Heavy Duty Truck Maintenance and Repair
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years in the heavy equipment maintenance and management field
LICENSE: Valid drivers license and valid passport
