Job Summary
The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the transportation operations. This includes managing and coordinating the activities of the transportation team, dispatchers, and other staff. Additionally, the Transportation Supervisor will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
•
Plans, organizes, and supervises the daily transportation operations of a company or organization
•
Develops and implements policies and procedures related to transportation activities
•
Ensures compliance with government regulations regarding safety and personnel.
•
Monitors and tracks employee work hours
•
Develops and manages transportation reports
•
Supervises and trains dispatchers, and other personnel
•
Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in transportation operations
•
Plans and assigns work schedules.
•
Interviews and hires personnel for positions
•
Trains personnel in operations and safety procedures
•
Enforces applicable safety regulations
•
Maintains records and prepare reports
•
Performs related duties as assigned
•
Manages Trinium access rights for dispatch and Intermodal.
•
Oversees the accounting group to ensure up to date records.
•
Assists in the implementation of cross-departmental initiatives, providing feedback on progress and outcomes.
Minimum Education, Certification, Experience and Physical Requirements
Education and experience minimums can be substituted with any equivalent combination of training and experience
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certification related to logistics, transportation or customer service are a plus
Experience
2 years of experience in customer service or operations coordination, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry. Experience with IMO regulations , national pick-up coordination, or dispatch operations
License
Valid State of Florida Driver’s License and Valid Passport.
Travel
Less than 5% to various Tropical Locations
Physical
Office Environment – Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve lower shelf files. Ability to reach overhead to retrieve upper shelf files. ability to sit 1/3 – 2/3 of day. Ability to travel in various modes of transportation (e.g. automobile, airplane, train etc..) Occasionally exposed to outside elements during the course of traveling.
