DevOps Engineer

Job SummaryDesigns, implements, and supports automated software delivery pipelines and infrastructure platforms across cloud and hybrid environments. Collaborates with development and IT operations teams to automate build, test, deployment, monitoring, and release processes. Implements infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security. Supports continuous integration and continuous delivery practices while improving operational efficiency, availability, and overall platform stability.Job ScopeNo Budgetary or Supervisory Responsibilities Must be able to work across application development teams, infrastructure platforms, and cloud environmentsPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities-Designs, builds, and maintains API and EDI integrations, including message mapping,transformation, validation, and exception handling.  -Onboards and supports trading partners; document endpoints, message formats, and error-handling procedures; create partner-facing guides.  -Implements and maintains EDI transactions and API resources supporting logistics workflows (e.g., orders, shipments, status updates, invoices).  -Develops automated monitoring, alerting, and runbooks to improve reliability and mean-time-to-restore.  -Collaborates with Business Analysts and stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical specifications and test plans.  -Performs root-cause analysis and corrective actions for integration defects; drive data-quality improvements and preventative controls.  -Ensures security best practices for authentication, authorization, and data privacy in all integrations.  -Collaborates with development and security teams to enforce approval workflows, secure deployments, and compliance controls within pipelines.  -Creates and maintains release notes and deployment documentation.  QualificationsEducation (Minimum)Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or in a related field.Experience (custom)3 years of experience in DevOps, Systems, or Build/Release Engineering.LicenseValid Local Driver’s License and Valid Passport. Travel10% to Various Tropical LocationsPhysicalOffice Environment – Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Ability to bend or stoop to retrieve lower shelf files. Ability to reach overhead to retrieve upper shelf files. ability to sit 1/3 – 2/3 of day. Ability to travel in various modes of transportation (e.g. automobile, airplane, train etc..) Occasionally exposed to outside elements during the course of traveling. LanguageEnglishOther InformationSkills, Knowledge and AbilitiesSkills in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.  Skills in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Azure Bicep and/or Terraform.  Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).  Knowledge of secure secrets management and experience integrating Azure Key Vault with CI/CD pipelines  Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools used to observe system performance, availability, and reliability.  Knowledge working within hybrid or enterprise-scale infrastructure environments  Ability to develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash.  Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
