JOB SUMMARY Inspects and receives cargo to protect the interest of Tropical and its customers. Receives cargo on the main floor, UPS, Yard and Ramp. Enters correct data in the warehouse management system, preparing cargo for putaway. Operates a forklift as part of the receiving, stripping, or putaway processes. Puts away cargo in the proper location and documents that transaction properly in the warehouse management system. Attends to customers delivering at the ramp, and in the yard to ensure they are given personal attention and special assistance when needed. Loads cargo into containers, ensuring shipment integrity (no shortages or errors), blocks and braces shipments to reduce risk of damage. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.EXPERIENCE: Twelve (12) months Tropical warehouse experience.OSHA Certified in forklift operationKnows and understands all receiving processes, all areas.LICENSE: Valid State of Florida Drivers LicenseTRAVEL: None

This position is responsible for our customer’s freight transport by way of pickups and deliveries. Essential Duties •Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures •Inspect trucks and trailer(s) for defects through pre-trip, mid-trip and post-trip inspections and submit reports indicating their condition •Operate a variety of trucks and equipment adhering to posted speed limits and all other local, state, and federal laws and regulations •Maintain driver e-logs and e-maintenance logs according to State and Federal regulations when outside of 150 air miles •Make customer pick-ups in a manner that reflects superior customer service •Spot and park trucks to warehouse, chock wheels, and assist in unloa
