JOB SUMMARY Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on support and heavy freight moving equipment systems: mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical. JOB SCOPENo supervisory or budgetary responsibilities.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms preventative maintenance on all heavy equipment including but not limited to: mobile harbor cranes, straddle carriers, reach stackers, rotators and spreaders. Performs major and minor repairs to heavy equipment as needed. Operates, inspects and troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical failures on equipment as required and diagnose defects. Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications. Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists, rigging equipment and hand tools. Researches parts needed for repairs on equipment by using parts manuals and supply books. Rebuilds engines, transmissions and their components as necessary. Makes service calls to various Tropical departments both domestic and international to facilitate equipment repairs as required. Remains on standby duty during ship loading after hours and on weekends. Fills out work orders after every job. Orders parts required to conduct repair and maintenance and follow-up. Coordinates with the effected departments equipment repairs and services. Makes quality fabrications as needed. Keeps work area clean and organized. Participates in training seminars and workshops when necessary. Performs all other duties as required.MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: High School Diploma and vocational technological graduate with certificate in equipment maintenance and repair preferred.EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years experience in heavy equipment repair, maintenance and operation.LICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s License – Non-Commercial Class E. Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport. Certificates in mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems preferred.TRAVEL: 10% Travel to both domestic and international Tropical locations.PHYSICAL: Operations – Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on/with computer, handheld devices or tools. Ability to frequently twist, bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb on equipment, push/pull 50 pounds, crawl, lift and carry at least 80 pounds on a daily basis. Able to withstand exposure to extreme weather conditions. Ability to travel in various modes of transportation (e.g. automobile, airplane, train etc.) Occasionally exposed to outside elements during the daily workday and during traveling.

JOB SUMMARY Responsible for preparing and compiling information to coordinate Human Resources programs, including: Recognition, company loans, employee shipment, applicant tracking and Flexible Spending, etc. Responds to personnel inquiries and requests from internal and external customers. Provides administrative support to the Human Resources staff. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Administers the application and verification process for all computer and generator loans. Provides verification for Human Resources Management review and approval. Administers the check request and repayment agreement signing process. Performs follow-up with employee and management to ensure proper documentation is provided for all loans.-Analyzes employee data and oversees system processing for all personnel transactions on the Human Resources Information System. Prepares and distributes reports and statistical summaries on employee data. Maintains system documentation and employment files, and ensures integrity of data.-Greets company visitors and provides direction and assistance as needed. Provides information and forms to persons applying for positions and updates applicant information in Human Resources Information System for applicant tracking. Provides Employment Department with daily update on application intake. Creates and distributes applicant letters periodically as requested.-Administers the employee shipment process ensuring that approved request stay within the guidelines of the Employee Shipment Policy. Ensures that documentation of the approvals is communicated to all areas of the company that are involved. Maintains organized employee shipment files to allow for review and confirmation of information as needed.-Administer the verification and payment of all Flexible Spending program reimbursements and enrollments, ensuring that all claims are in compliance with current regulations.-Organizes and communicates information for periodic Service Awards Ceremonies. Coordinates schedules of attendees, sets up ceremony time and place, and ensures proper room set up for ceremony location. Creates agenda and distributes information to all ceremony speakers. Coordinates the distribution of annual Service Award packets to all participating Tropical locations. Administers recognition processes, including: Superior Team and Achievement Rewards (STAR), Wall of Fame, and quality recognition (QR) awards.-Performs word-processing duties including typing of reports, correspondence, info-lines and lotus notes database documents. Proofreads all prepared documents for spelling and typographical errors. Creates reports, graphs, and charts for various projects using spreadsheet and graphics software.-Receives, screens and directs telephone calls from employees and external customers. Takes telephone messages. Answers caller questions and/or refers caller to appropriate person. Follows up with callers on information requests. -Establishes and maintains filing systems for various confidential files and records. Routinely files all documents.
