Job Summary
The Customer Service Associate – Cashier serves as the welcoming face and frontline representative of our Minit Stop Stores and Ohana Fuel Stations, delivering friendly and efficient service to our customers. As the first and last point of contact, the cashier plays a key role in creating a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and ensuring smooth checkout operations.
Starting pay is $16.50 per hour. Successfully completing our Cashier training courses earns you a $250 training bonus. Completing these programs can lead to exciting career advancement opportunities within the Company like Senior Customer Service Associate and Shift Manager, with rewarding pay increases.

This position is conveniently located at 736 Lower Main Street in Wailuku, Maui.
What You Will Do
- Greet and assist customers in a positive and professional manner as they enter the store and throughout their visit using Minit Stop’s Core Values and Practices.
- Handle cash, credit and debit transactions accurately on the store’s Point of Sale system and balance the cash register at the end of shift.
- Assist with inventory stocking, organization and rotation.
- Cleaning, maintenance and general upkeep of the store floor.
- Operate, clean and maintain all company equipment and ensure overall site cleanliness while keeping supplies adequately stocked.
- Report workplace hazards, incidents, injuries, spills or property damage to store leadership in a timely fashion.
- Promote company sponsored incentives, promotions and Reward Programs.
- Assist customers with inquiries and effectively resolve any issues that may arise.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Seeking candidates 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least one month of relevant work experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm for acquiring new skills, have effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work outdoors in a fueling environment with exposure to fuel odors and various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow strict company safety policies and procedures, wear required PPE and understand and comply with DOT, Local, State and Federal regulations related to the handling of fuel products.
- Ability to follow Company policies and directions and understand and abide by Local, State and Federal laws pertaining to the sale of alcohol and tobacco products and handling of food.
- Be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and stand for prolonged periods of time throughout the day.
- Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record including being available for shifts throughout the store operating hours.
