Description

Purpose of Job: 

This position is responsible for performing financial analysis, preparing reports, and evaluating current trends.  This position also recommends designs and monitors short-term and long-term production strategies for each department of Aqua Gulf.     

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for business intelligence (BI) and data warehousing (DW) design, development, and maintenance 
  • Works with business users to understand reporting and data analysis requirements and convert them into technical specifications
  • Designs, develops, tests, deploys, and monitors ETL processes to load data from multiple disparate sources into a centralized data warehouse
  • Writes SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), reporting, and data analysis
  • Develops custom reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or SSRS 
  • Keeps abreast of new BI/DW technologies and makes recommendations for adoption where relevant
  • Oversees the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions
  • Assists in the development of financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
  • Assists in the preparation of financial forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and as needed 
  • Responsible for the oversight of KPIs (Key Performing Indicators) for all departments 
  • Analyses and reports on current financial status of departments and total company 
  • Coordinates with the controller and the executive team on long-term financial goals
  • Compares anticipated and actual results and identifies areas of improvement
  • Participates in budgeting with all departments and with projects as needed 
  • Performs other duties as assigned 

Skills:

  • Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Proficient understanding of GAAP
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including in presentation of reports
  • Ability to interact effectively with different roles and levels in the organization to receive information, provide guidance, communicate requirements.
  • Ability to handle numerous projects and deadlines, and to plan and prioritize workload accordingly
  • Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, analysis and spreadsheet software 
  • Attention to detail, with consideration of materiality where appropriate
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Sufficiently computer literate to learn to work with new systems.  TOTE works with: Infor/FSM, Adaptive Insights, Truckmate, TMT, CargoWise, Samsara, Azure ETL processes and SQL

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of educational experience.
  • Five to ten years related experience.
