Maintenance Manager-St. Croix

Sales Coordinator – St. Thomas

JOB SUMMARY Responsible for providing support to Sales Representatives as needed through correspondence, rate quotes and service announcements to customers within the assigned sales territory. Acts as liaison between customers and various departments within Tropical to resolve sales related issues in an effort to assist the Sales Representative in maximizing customer satisfaction as well as enhancing the customer’s supply chain effectiveness with convenient and reliable transportation solutions. Within TLink, assigns new customers to a sales territory. JOB SUMMARY Manages Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality issues for vessel fleet.  Ensures compliance with Flag State, Classification Society, IMO, USCG, and internal and external stake holders requirements to ensure highest levels of performance, operability, and reliability.  Performs vessel audits, analyzes results, implements and follows-up on any required corrective actions.  Manages daily vessel operations, assists with training programs and supports vessel crews. Cargo Handling Specialist – Night Shift

JOB SUMMARY Inspects and receives cargo to protect the interest of Tropical and its customers.  Verifies that cargo meets Tropical’s minimum requirements for cargo acceptance.  Notifies supervisor / crew leader for problem resolution when cargo does not meet Tropical requirements.  Measures and documents the shipment’s size, type and characteristics along with complete written record of any discrepancies.  Applies proper Tropical labels according to cargo marks and paperwork and enters correct data in the warehouse management system, preparing cargo for putaway.  Operates a forklift as part of the receiving, stripping, or putaway processes.  Puts away cargo in the proper location and documents that transaction properly in the warehouse management system.JOB SCOPENo supervisory or budgetary responsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInspects cargo to ensure that cargo meets the Tropical receiving guidelines for acceptance.Receives cargo by :a.  Verifying and documenting the count.b.  Ensuring that cargo matches description on the carrier’s freight billc.  Verifying and documenting cargo condition.d.  Properly noting exceptions (discrepancies) on the delivery agent’s paperwork.e.  Checks for proper hazardous material documents.f.   Signs the delivery receipt, and accepts cargo in accordance with the receiving process.Measures cargo and enters information into the warehouse management system or on hand tally.Properly, accurately, and legibly, records all other required information on tally or in warehouse management system.Prepares cargo for putaway by verifying paperwork, and placing cargo on pallets.  Secures cargo to pallets with shrinkwrap and/or tape.Applies labels to each handling unit, in accordance with company procedures.Exhibits good customer service skills in communicating with customers, truckers, and vendors.Performs and documents pre-shift forklift inspection.Operates a forklift to unload delivery trucks and containers.Strips and transloads cargo as neededTransfers large shipments from delivery truck directly into  containers.Loads containers making sure that cargo is placed properly in containers to ensure maximum stow and damage free transit.Loads flat racks according to flat rack procedures.Ensures proper hazardous material placards are applied when hazardous cargo is loaded.Performs all other assigned duties as requested.
