Description

Essential Duties

 

·         Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures

 

 

·         Communicates and coordinates with Operations to ensure adequate staffing and resources to maintain the highest level of fleet readiness and quality in order to meet equipment needs

 

 

·         Prioritizes schedules, repairs, and workloads of shop personnel

 

 

·         Coordinates all other elements of equipment repairs to include Parts, Third Party Services and Freight

 

 

·         Reviews and authorizes major repairs and shop expenditures

 

 

·         Approves shop personnel timecards and payroll

 

 

·         Actively involved with recruiting, retention, mentoring and training of all levels of shop personnel to include regular/consistent counseling, appraisals, and wage reviews

 

 

·         Acts as a key liaison with key vendors and third-party suppliers

 

 

·         Primary person of responsibility for shop and personnel safety and environmental performance

 

 

·         Participates in the annual budgeting process at Carlile and for R&M

 

 

·         Review expenses and manages costs in adherence with the approved R&M budget

 

 

·         Coordinates the disposal of equipment/scrap assets, trailers, tractors, etc.

 

 

·         Take delivery of new equipment, inspect, and approve for operational readiness

 

 

·         Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

·         High School Diploma or GED equivalent

·         College degree or technical school certification preferred

·         Must furnish and keep onsite all necessary tools for completion of job

·         10-15 years vehicle/equipment maintenance experience required

·         5-7 years supervisory experience
