Job Summary

The Warehouse Assistant will receive, store, repack, and distribute materials that support TOTE Services managed vessels, and maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Efficient receiving, storage, and shipping of materials per established procedures. 
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company quality and safety standards.
  • Make pickups and deliveries as directed by the Warehouse Supvervisor
  • Assist in collecting data for inventory and production reports.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  n/a 

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or related equivalent preferred.  

Qualification Requirements:   Minimum of (1) one year of experience working in a warehouse, possession of Transport Worker ID Card (TWIC), Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record, experience operating a forklift (certification preferred) inside a warehouse. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • General understanding of warehouse operations, including safety regulations and environmental protection standards.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding tasks in a warehouse environment.

 Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  Performing these duties acknowledges the possible dangers onboard vessels such as safely maneuvering throughout a vessel – i.e. ladders/staircases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.   However, noise level exposure can increase during visits to the vessels. Work may involve occasional work near moving mechanical parts and exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.  Therefore, adhering to all necessary safety precautions and wearing required personal protective equipment to mitigate the potential risk of injury and prevention of hazards shall be followed.
