JOB SUMMARY Performs general building and grounds maintenance and repair activities.EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: Two years general facility maintenance and repair.LICENSE: Valid Local Commerical Driver’s License.TRAVEL: N/A-Performs basic electrical repairs involving wiring, fixtures and appliances.-Performs basic carpentry repairs involving cabinets, partitions, walls and doors.-Performs basic plumbing repairs involving faucets, and toilets.-Performs basic mechanical repairs involving fences, gates, window, furniture and lawn equipment.-Paints interior and exterior walls as needed.-Maintains the grounds including yard work and repairing sprinklers.-Repairs roofs at various locations.-Performs basic HVAC monthly inspections and coordinates repairs.-Monitors and manages garbage dumpsters usage and performs dump runs utilizing company road tractor.-Performs facility cleaning with yard sweeper. -Performs moving of facility furniture and furnishings.-Keeps Buildings and Grounds work area neat and clean daily.-Performs basic computer functions. Perform all computer skills needed to acquire work orders by email and communicate via email or the companies current operating system. Must be able to complete computer purchase requisitions. Must be able to stay current with the companies computer demands.-Oversee vendor repair activities and inspect for quality of work when needed.-Ability to oversee man power labor when needed.-Performs all other assigned duties.

JOB SUMMARY Pulls serviced refrigeration equipment to ready area to provide room at pre-trip lines. Stages gen-set chassis in the port and pulls decked out boxes from the port to the pre-trip lines. Keeps reefer yard open for additional arriving reefers to service. Operates reach stacker and heavy lift fork-lifts to mount and dismount containers. Moves damaged containers to shop for repair. Fuels and check fluids of the Tropical equipment. Identifies defects of Tropical equipment and reports back to supervisor. JOB SCOPENo supervisory or budgetary responsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperates jockey truck, fuel truck, fork-lifts, and reach stacker as necessary to supply reefer yard with equipment.Transports ready, needing pre-trip and damaged equipment in and out of reefer yard.Updates computer system of incoming/outgoing equipment.Notifies supervisor of unusual and/or excessive damages or issues/potential problems.Performs daily maintenance check on jockey truck, fuel truck, fork-lift and reach stacker.Maintains clear, effective communication using radio.Fuels equipment as needed and documents usage.Checks and maintains fluids of jockey truck, fuel truck and/or assigned equipment.Reports discrepancies and excessive usage of fuel, coolant, or lubricants.Maintains cleanliness and functionality of fuel truck.Maintains cleanliness of reefer shop and surroundings.Performs all other duties as assigned.MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: Two years in trucking or shipping operations experience. JOB SUMMARY Inspects and receives cargo to protect the interest of Tropical and its customers. Verifies that cargo meets Tropical’s minimum requirements for cargo acceptance. Notifies supervisor / crew leader for problem resolution when cargo does not meet Tropical requirements. Measures and documents the shipment’s size, type and characteristics along with complete written record of any discrepancies. Applies proper Tropical labels according to cargo marks and paperwork and enters correct data in the warehouse management system, preparing cargo for putaway. Operates a forklift as part of the receiving, stripping, or putaway processes. Puts away cargo in the proper location and documents that transaction properly in the warehouse management system.JOB SCOPENo supervisory or budgetary responsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInspects cargo to ensure that cargo meets the Tropical receiving guidelines for acceptance.Receives cargo by :a. Properly noting exceptions (discrepancies) on the delivery agent’s paperwork.e. Checks for proper hazardous material documents.f. Signs the delivery receipt, and accepts cargo in accordance with the receiving process.Measures cargo and enters information into the warehouse management system or on hand tally.Properly, accurately, and legibly, records all other required information on tally or in warehouse management system.Prepares cargo for putaway by verifying paperwork, and placing cargo on pallets. Secures cargo to pallets with shrinkwrap and/or tape.Applies labels to each handling unit, in accordance with company procedures.Exhibits good customer service skills in communicating with customers, truckers, and vendors.Performs and documents pre-shift forklift inspection.Operates a forklift to unload delivery trucks and containers.Strips and transloads cargo as neededTransfers large shipments from delivery truck directly into containers.Loads containers making sure that cargo is placed properly in containers to ensure maximum stow and damage free transit.Loads flat racks according to flat rack procedures.Ensures proper hazardous material placards are applied when hazardous cargo is loaded.Performs all other assigned duties as requested.
