JOB SUMMARYREFRIGERATION MAINTENANCE: Performs maintenance, repair and replacement of load line cords, ends and switches. Monitors loaded refrigeration units for proper operation. Pre-trips refrigerated units and ensures proper maintenance standards prior to container use by customer. Responsible for performing fueling duties and assisting in yard operations, including equipment moves and washing of refrigerated units as needed. Fuels and/or checks all fluids of equipment. Assists with identifying defects of equipment, reports back to leads or manager and maintains a clean work area. PORT MAINTENANCE:  Assists in various shop functions, including but not limited to, fuel and/or fluid checks, power washing of heavy equipment, identifies defects of heavy equipment, reports back to leads or manager, and maintains a clean working area. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: No previous experience required. Experience operating and/or fueling equipment preferred.LICENSE: Valid local driver’s license. Traffic Representative – Barbados

JOB SUMMARY Responsible for shipment verification process from tally receipt until cargo is cleared to load.  Maintains successive customer contact to expedite cargo movement to clear to load status, ensuring appropriate export documents have been received and verified. Coordinates documentation process from the time cargo physically received from shipper until cargo is unstuffed from the container at the final port of discharge warehouse.  Supports Sales Representatives as needed through correspondence, rate quotes and service announcements to customers within the assigned sales territory.  Within Tlink and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), assigns new customers to a sales territory.JOB SCOPENo supervisory or budgetary responsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReviews tally to determine if all documents required to prepare cargo for shipment are received.  Follows up with appropriate parties (shippers, consignees, or freight forwarders)  regarding incomplete documentation to obtain information and process the necessary paperwork required for export shipments.   Contacts customers to resolve any discrepancies identified in shipment verification process.  Makes appropriate changes to the tally and records information regarding changes in appropriate company business systems.  Coordinates any changes in the cargo destination with Operations for restickering of the freight.Maintains up-to-date “Cargo On Hand” report.  Reconciles physical inventory in accordance with report information.  Prioritizes cargo movement efforts based on date cargo received to facilitate expeditious cargo operations.  Reviews rating on larger shipments with the appropriate tariff to ensure the customer receives the most favorable rate less than container load (LCL) vs. full container load (FCL).Completes clear to load (CTL) requirements to expedite cargo movement, making cargo available to the loading department. Properly assembles the Export Shipment Package for processing by the documentation department.Coordinates all day of sail exceptions with receiving and loading departments to minimize disruption to normal work flow.Advises customers of the information Tropical requires to expedite cargo shipments with minimal or no delay.  Researches and resolves issues delaying freight movement. Encourages customers to use Tropical’s eServices platform to upload shippers invoices for shipments.Provides unstuffing notifications to consignees once shipments are unstuffed at warehouse of final Port of discharge. Assists with the preparation of associated shipment local Invoices for LCL shipments when necessary. Acts as internal support contact to coordinate sales and service issues for customers within assigned territory in person or by telephone.  Makes joint calls on assigned sales representatives accounts, developing telephone relationships with assigned territories customer base, representing Tropical at trade shows and industry meetings, or Tropical port locations as necessary.Contacts current and potential customers to solicit new and additional business using telephone, letter, email, face to face sales calls and networking.Performs all other duties as assigned.MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: Associate’s DegreeEXPERIENCE: Minimum one year general business or office experience.LICENSE: Valid local driver’s license.TRAVEL: N/A

JOB SUMMARY Coordinate and manage all vessel stowage company wide by service string on current and future voyages based on cargo and empty equipment requirements by utilizing equipment information and load lists from pertinent computer software systems and port personnel. Manage and communicate vessel movements with all pertinent parties.  Assist in planning all labor, freight handling equipment, and materials necessary for terminal and stevedoring operations to meet vessel schedule commitments. Ensure Dangerous Cargo Manifests are created, updated, and distributed to all vessels as required. Confirm appropriate government documentation is submitted for all port entries. Ensure all ports and ships receive proper EDI files for vessel stowage and operations. Perform operational follow-up and correcting terminal and vessel plans where needed. Manage integration of EDI capabilities into T-Link.  Maintain management of Powerstow vessel stowage software.EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Transportation or in a related fieldEXPERIENCE: Three years experience in vessel stowage or vessel terminal operations in a maritime shipping business.LICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s License.  Valid Passport.  Active U.S.C.G.
