JOB SUMMARY Coordinates a variety of safety functions, including safety committees, safety inspections and post-accident investigations. Establishes safety policies and procedures. Oversees emergency response and workers compensation. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops safety programs, including safety committees, inspections, emergency response teams and confined space, lock out/ tag out and personal protection requirements.Facilitates monthly safety committee meetings.Conducts post-accident investigations including personal injuries, equipment/vehicle/cargo damage accidents.Develops and conducts training on Right-to-Know laws, fire safety, emergency response, safety committee activity, confined space and monthly Safety Topics.Conducts reviews of OSHA, DOT and IMDG regulations to ensure company compliance.Develops and implements post-accident drug testing, medical treatment, and medical monitoring programs. Ensures vendors meet company requirements.Provides hazardous material shipping guidance and customer support. Maintains Material Safety Data Sheet files and Chemtel updates.Conducts safety inspections and preventative programs.Functions as Team Leader of the Hazardous Materials Response Team.Assists Safety Manager in other safety projects as assigned.Performs all other duties as requested.MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or in a related fieldEXPERIENCE: Three years experience in the safety field including experience with OSHA and DOT regulations, emergency response, and hazardous materials leaks or spills.LICENSE: Valid driver’s license and valid passport. JOB SUMMARYREFRIGERATION MAINTENANCE: Performs maintenance, repair and replacement of load line cords, ends and switches. Monitors loaded refrigeration units for proper operation. Pre-trips refrigerated units and ensures proper maintenance standards prior to container use by customer. Responsible for performing fueling duties and assisting in yard operations, including equipment moves and washing of refrigerated units as needed. Fuels and/or checks all fluids of equipment.
