Sales Representative – Dominican Republic

Responsible for servicing and maintaining existing customer base and identifying profitable opportunities for new business. Evaluates customer’s needs and makes recommendations to ensure premium pricing and enhancement of bottom line profit.  Requires selling skills to enhance the customer’s supply chain effectiveness with convenient and reliable transportation solutions and strives to exceed yearly budgetary targets.Performs on-site sales visits regarding maintenance of existing accounts, targeted accounts and/or newly assigned accounts to exceed yearly revenue and budgetary expectations. Completes and updates account profiles on each customer. JOB SUMMARY Pressure washes and/or sweeps out shipping containers and equipment, treats rusted areas and/or disinfects inside of containers as needed. Cleans and maintains shop, washout, and reefer pre-trip inspection (PTI) areas, including trash removal as needed.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Pressure washes and/or sweeps out shipping containers and equipment as required using machinery provided.-Checks equipment, ensuring an adequate water supply, oil level, fuel tank and storage tanks levels and all working properly.-Inspects surfaces after washing to ensure it is clear of any food, dirt, and debris.-Notifies manager and lead personnel of unusual and/or excessive damages.-Follows all safety protocols to prevent damage or injury.–Treats rusted areas on equipment, applies aluminum cleaner and/or disinfectant as applicable.-Performs minor container repairs as needed.-Cleans and washes equipment daily.-Cleans and/or pumps out wash areas/pads routinely.-Cleans and maintains the shop, washout and pre-trip areas and their surrounding areas.-Operates forklifts and jockey truck as necessary, to allow constant flow of containers through the yard.-Performs all other assigned duties.EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: Six months of experience in cleaning, painting and pressure washing.LICENSE: Valid local driver’s license. Operations Coordinator – Barbados

Equipment Control CheckerClerk (St. Croix)

JOB SUMMARY Responsible for dispatching and receiving containers, computer data entry of equipment activity, releasing vehicles to customers, printing load list and manifest for general distribution, in addition to calculating and printing demurrage invoices. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE: Six months to one year experience in a related field.  Computer experience required. LICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s License. TRAVEL: N/APRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Dispatch loaded containers based on documents presented by truckers or consignee and inspect equipment for damages; where applicable note on EIR and fill out damage report. Verify container seal number and refrigerated container temperature. 2. Distribute on a daily basis Gate Activity Report to Outbound Freight Coordinator. 3. Inspect and release to customers vehicles, boats, office trailers; fill out Claim Report log and submit to Claims Department. Advise customer of procedures for filing claim. 4. Input data into computer on a timely and accurate basis gate activity reports, ship’s checker report, in addition to all other equipment activity reports received from the various Eastern Caribbean islands. 5. Print on a timely basis vessel loadlist and manifest and distribute same to Traffic Department for photocopying and general distribution. 6. Calculate, print and mail out demurrage invoices. 7. Conduct and reconcile monthly equipment inventory. Reconcile month-end inventory received from Eastern Caribbean islands and report discrepancies to Equipment Control Supervisor. 8. File equipment interchange receipts and maintain vessel or voyage folders. 9. Calculate weekly TEUs by vessel or voyage for Accounting Department. 10. Perform all other duties as assigned.
