Customer Care Agent – Bahamas

Provides customers with the highest level of service and customer care through resolutions of problems, prompt responses to inquiries and follow up of customer complaints, logging of FCN’s and C-10’s and accurate rate quotes and processing export documents.  Prints company core business system documents as required.No supervisory or budgetary responsibilities.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAnswers all incoming service-related phone calls, supplying rate quotes as needed and researches customer problems, knowledge of Tropical Shipping features and benefits of service.Liaisons between Tropical departments (Miami/PPB/Warehouse/Sales) to resolve customer issues and acts as a point of contact.  Handles all customer complaints including proper follow-up with information regarding the shipment and proper resolution, submits proper analysis to Customer Care Manager when completed to correct root causes of service failures.Assists walk-in customers. Port Mechanic IV

Senior Communications Engineer

JOB SUMMARY Responsible for dispatching and receiving containers, computer data entry of equipment activity, releasing vehicles to customers, printing load list and manifest for general distribution, in addition to calculating and printing demurrage invoices. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE: Six months to one year experience in a related field.  Computer experience required. LICENSE: Valid Local Driver’s License. TRAVEL: N/APRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Dispatch loaded containers based on documents presented by truckers or consignee and inspect equipment for damages; where applicable note on EIR and fill out damage report. Verify container seal number and refrigerated container temperature. 2. Distribute on a daily basis Gate Activity Report to Outbound Freight Coordinator. 3. Inspect and release to customers vehicles, boats, office trailers; fill out Claim Report log and submit to Claims Department. Advise customer of procedures for filing claim. 4. Input data into computer on a timely and accurate basis gate activity reports, ship’s checker report, in addition to all other equipment activity reports received from the various Eastern Caribbean islands. 5. Print on a timely basis vessel loadlist and manifest and distribute same to Traffic Department for photocopying and general distribution. 6. Calculate, print and mail out demurrage invoices. 7. Conduct and reconcile monthly equipment inventory. Reconcile month-end inventory received from Eastern Caribbean islands and report discrepancies to Equipment Control Supervisor. 8.
