Cargo Handling Specialist – Nightshift

Port Mechanic III – Refrigeration

SummaryAssists with various maintenance responsibilities.Duties & Responsibilities:Inspects and tests 20- and 40-foot mechanical reefers and gen-sets. – Performs complete preventive maintenance on mechanical reefers and gen-sets. – Maintains accurate records of work performed. – Performs corrective maintenance on loaded casualty units including using vacuum pump/recovery machine. – Performs soldering and torch usage repairs. Ability to solder copper to brass/stainless. Leak check all components, evacuate, R&R drier and charge unit. Diagnose faulty compressors. Performs basic preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment including but not limited to: chassis underslung, clip-on generators as well as containerized / portable generators.
