Stevedore Supervisor- St. Croix, USVI

Responsible for supervising loading and unloading of all vessels, maintaining ship schedules and managing resources to complete assigned duties including interfacing with Maintenance and Traffic departments.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Schedules, assigns and supervises work of stevedoring crews to ensure the proper stowing of freight on board vessels.  Coordinates vessel arrivals and departures to maximize employee/equipment production levels.  Ensures coverage for all areas sufficient to meet deadline requirements and avoid unnecessary costs resulting from inefficient procedures.  Uses automated stowage systems as part of the stevedoring operation.-Supervises all yard activities in and out of the port.
