Evaluates equipment repair and maintenance practices. Gives technical advice and assists in the coordination of repairs. Coordinates timely, efficient and cost-effective equipment maintenance, repairs and refurbishments to maximize uptime of equipment according to company standards. Ensures compliance with industry, safety, and environmental regulations. Evaluates and monitors labor needs, workload, productivity, repair, and maintenance requirements for all container/chassis/tire functions in the Port of Palm Beach and Miami warehouse locations. Utilizes Maintenance Management System to capture all parts and labor used in maintenance of assets. Reports KPI’s monthly to management. Provides advice and collaborates on equipment acquisitions and repositioning to meet needs of US and outport operations. Benchmarks shop and individual performance to established KPI. Selects, trains and develops subordinate personnel for promotion and advancing in technical and leadership skills.
